Yesterday, Andy and I celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary. I can still remember the smell of the air at the Outing Lodge when we were taking our pictures, and the surreal feeling as I walked down the aisle with my dad. The whole time thinking that my life felt like a movie. There’s no way to know what the future holds for you, and it’s so amazing to think that four years ago we were celebrating something that felt so big.
So to celebrate yesterday, instead of spending the evening out enjoying some overpriced meal, we decided to steal away the afternoon at the Apple Orchard. So we went, and we snapped pictures and ate apple cinnamon doughnuts and it was perfect.
Then all of a sudden, I remembered a place that years earlier two young kids stood so madly in love and took a picture. And it struck me how much our lives HAVE changed, but yet, how similar we are. We have grown, and our picture has too.
Another my-life-is-a-movie, moment…
There is really no better way to celebrate the amazing day we had four years ago than by sharing old memories and special places with our new little person. She has become a new layer of glue that holds us together and she makes us love one another more than we ever knew we could.
